A PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY THAT MAKES AN IMPACT
Make a difference on campus at Spectator, the best way to spend your extracurricular time on campus. Our staff members are passionate and hard-working, and Spectator works hard to provide our staff meaningful personal and professional growth, from networking opportunities to new friendships.
RUN BY STUDENTS, FOR STUDENTS
Spectator is proudly student-run and financially independent. Our staff, leaders, and contributors are all students hailing from all of Columbia's undergraduate schools: Barnard College, General Studies, School of Engineering and Applied Science, and Columbia College.
YOUR GROWTH MATTERS
We strongly believe that what our staff get out of their Spectator experience is as important as the work we do. The growth and development of our staff is an explicit part of our mission, not a secondary benefit to what Spectator offers.
OVER A CENTURY OF CONNECTIONS
For over 140 years, Spectator's alumni have gone on to success in almost every industry imaginable. By joining Spectator, you'll be gaining access to an extensive alumni network that can open doors to mentorship opportunities, internship leads, and your future career.
WORK-STUDY OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
We know that juggling a work-study job, Spectator, and schoolwork can be challenging and we want everyone to have the opportunity to succeed at Spectator. For staff eligible to receive financial aid, Spectator can assist. To learn more about work-study opportunities, click here.
